Dr. Noushin Izadifar Hart
Upon completion of her residency, Dr. Hart joined the academic practice as an assistant professor. As the chief of breast and GYN and brachytherapy services, she implemented Hight Dose Rate (HDR) brachytherapy for the treatment of GYN and breast cancers. She was also in charge of lymphoma and Total Body Irradiation as a part of the Bone Marrow Transplantation program. She participated in national research protocols studying endovascular brachytherapy and accelerated partial breast irradiation using MammoSite breast brachytherapy catheter.
During her residency, fellowship, and academic practice, Dr. Hart has participated in clinical research in Three Dimensional Conformal Radiation Therapy, Intensity Modulated Radiation Therapy, Endovascular Brachytherapy, gynecological and breast malignancies. Dr. Hart, who was trained at one of the very few residency programs with IMRT technology, has vast experience with the newest technologies in radiation oncology.
Dr. Hart also has years of experience in private practice. Dr. Hart is a patient advocate and holds the best interest of every patient as her top priority. She practices trauma informed oncology and believes in empowering her patients with the knowledge to overcome the fears caused by myths surrounding cancer and the required treatments. Throughout her career, she has initiated cancer education programs and support groups for cancer survivors and their families.
Currently, Dr. Hart offers an online Cancer Education and Study Group. The purpose of this group is education about the mind-body connection and role of childhood and adulthood traumas in developing serious and chronic diseases such as cancer. In collaboration with MAP Coaching Institute (mapcoachinginstitue.com), Dr. Hart offers a twelve-week program in healing the traumas caused by the diagnosis of cancer (Cancer Trauma Relief Pilot Study).
Dr. Hart also has years of experience in Utilization Management. She was an associate medical director at eviCore for almost 6 years and currently is a Physician Clinical Reviewer at Magellan Healthcare. As an independent contractor, Dr. Hart provides clinical services at the Genesis Cancer Center in Shenandoah and Tomball, and Texas. The combination of these experiences has given Dr. Hart a unique perspective on the challenges of today’s healthcare.
Dr. Hart has always recognized the crucial role of preventive measures. She strongly believes that for every life saved by cancer treatments, many more are saved by the emphasis on prevention and early detection. Even though the services provided through Hart to Heart Cancer Consultants are not limited to this, that was a critical reason for founding it in 2012.
