Cancer Support Groups
Walk the walk with people who have been in your shoes because nobody other than someone who has been through it can completely understand what you are going through and that may even be true about your doctor. Give yourself all the support you need by finding a local support group you can join.
- Lung Cancer Alliance – Search for local branches in your own community. You are not alone. Find the support and resources you need to make the journey easier.

We don’t deny the dark side of illness and death here. But we also firmly believe that laughter and light can turn up in the strangest places. Search for local branches in your own community.

A patient is matched with a CanCare volunteer for one-on-one emotional support based on a variety of criteria including cancer site, treatments, age and gender. Generally, support is provided over the phone and sometimes through email, and we encourage those who are matched with someone in the same geographical area to make an effort to meet in person.
- ABCD – ABCD: After Breast Cancer Diagnosis was founded by a group of women – led by Melodie Wilson – who realized that having breast cancer is about much more than biopsies, surgery and chemotherapy. Not everyone diagnosed with breast cancer knows where to find that kind of help. That’s where ABCD comes in.
